Through the use of its proprietary technology platform, ProtoDiscovery™, Prosarix conducts serviced-based discovery projects for third parties, in which the resultant IP is retained by the client. Since 2004 a large number of projects involving both structure-based and ligand-based design approaches have been successfully completed.

Technology and capabilities

ProtoDiscovery™ comprises a number of technologies for use in both structure-based design, including a proprietary scoring algorithm, virtual screening and de novo design tools, and ligand-based approaches, including electrostatic shape matching and classification technologies. Prosarix has considerable experience in all aspects of computer driven drug discovery and optimisation.

Prosarix has worked on a wide range of protein targets, from enzymes to GPCRs including the identification of ligands as inhibitors, agonists and disrupters of protein-protein interactions. The use of ProtoDiscovery™ as individual components or with other industry standard software provides a suite of efficient and accurate tools for a wide range of tasks from initial hit identification, compound expansion through to lead optimisation. Work carried out by Prosarix has contributed to scientific papers (e.g. in the journal Science), patents and compounds now in the clinic.
